Thousands of years ago, a legendary sword named Zhanlu (湛卢) was born. Crafted by a grandmaster ironworker, it became the ultimate symbol of eastern weaponry—not for its cruelty, but for its "Benevolence" (仁道) and peerless artistry. It was black as deep ink, possessing a flawless edge hidden within absolute simplicity.

Inspired by this ancient legacy of spiritual depth and ultimate sharpness, Zansuro (湛素炉) was born.

In an era dominated by cold, mass-produced machinery, we realized that the kitchen knife—one of humanity's oldest and most intimate tools—had lost its soul, its warmth, and its individuality. We envisioned a tool that carries the weight of history yet meets the rigorous demands of modern culinary art. To achieve this, we bridged two worlds: combining the refined, ergonomic elegance of Japanese minimalist design with the legendary, time-tested spirit of Chinese master blacksmiths.

Our DNA: Zan · Su · Ro

  • Zan (湛) — The Depth of Steel: It represents our obsessive pursuit of premium, top-tier metal—as profound, pure, and resilient as the ocean depths. It is the uncompromising foundation of every blade.
